Quixote D. Atkins is a nonprofit executive, entrepreneur, and Oakland native whose work connects organizational leadership with community relationships. As Co-Founder and Executive Director of VillageGIVE, he leads strategy, operations, financial planning, governance, and partnerships that support youth, families, and communities through education, the arts, and health and wellness.
His approach begins with the strengths already present in a community: people with experience to share, organizations doing valuable work, and businesses with resources and expertise. Through VillageGIVE, he brings these assets together around practical opportunities to learn, create, connect, and thrive. JUST 2! The Relationship Challenge extends that approach by inviting people to make intentional time for one another and share that opportunity with others.
Quixote conceived and led Coliseum 60, a September 2026 gathering at Youth UpRising that connected Oakland history, youth media, civic voices, and community recognition. He also conceived and led CREATEThon with Oakland Fine Arts Summer School, serving more than 200 youth and family members.
As founder of ACG: ACTS Consulting Group, LLC, he has advised more than 50 organizations on strategy, operations, compliance, and technology. Through ACG, he helped organizations access more than $6.3 million through PPP, EIDL, and ERTC programs. Earlier, at Primerica, he led a network of up to 45 licensed insurance professionals through direct and indirect supervisory relationships.
He holds a B.S. in General Science from Morehouse College, a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Georgia Tech, and an M.S. in Industrial Engineering from Georgia Tech. That training informs his practical approach to systems, resources, and follow-through.

For employers and community partners, possibilities include employee engagement, volunteer participation, sponsorship, and helping others access shared experiences. For example, an employer could help employees plan shared experiences and sponsor access for community members.
Choose your person. Put a plan on the calendar. Ask the two questions, plan another moment together, and invite two others to try it. Through VillageGIVE, that spirit of connection also supports opportunities in early learning, the arts, youth mentorship, and health and wellness. Start your JUST 2! ↗
Leadership in practice / September 18, 2026

Quixote conceived, developed, and led a community gathering exploring the Oakland Coliseum’s history and continuing significance. More than 100 participants came together through film, conversation, youth media, and community recognition.
VillageGIVE led the initiative, Youth UpRising hosted the gathering, and Youth Beat provided video production. Oakland Fine Arts Summer School also collaborated in the initiative.
The leadership work connected the vision to execution: convening organizations, coordinating program contributors, shaping historical storytelling, and managing communications, registration, and event operations.
